Doctoral Candidate, Program in Ecology and Evolution (University of Wyoming)
BSc. Wildlife Management, MSc. Biology of Conservation
I am interested in mechanisms and processes that maintain ecological patterns and species assemblages. Thus, my interest span population, community, evolutionary, and conservation ecology. My research utilizes molecular biology, field experiments, and long-term demographic datasets to illuminate the drivers of ecological community dynamics.
I also partner with local organizations in Kenya to build the capacity of budding mammalogists through field courses, as well as promoting the appreciation of all wildlife and especially the small critters that are often ignored in favor of the charismatic megafauna.
When I am not doing science, I am actively involved in coaching young people about life, exploring nature with friends and family, discussing contentious/or current issues, and watching soccer and nature documentaries.
